  35. Thank you for the input, but i did fail to mention a couple of steps in
  36. the process. For example, If I were to use something like ProCom or
  37. Crosstalk (under DOS or Windows), the process becomes:
  38. - Log onto the port. Issue RTS/CTS command to the modem.
  39. - Issue a special AT command (at^h) to the modem (at which point the
  40. modem    'waits' for the ascii file transfer to begin. Not ulike
  41. programming a     EEROM.
  42. - "Select" or "Click" on FILE TRANSFER, ASCII Upload. 
  43.     At which point the protocol is strictly ascii transfer because it is 
  44. reprogramming the eeram (nvram).

  46. In attempting to emulate this process using MS-Kermit V3.14, after
  47. setting up the mscustom.ini file, then issuing the CONNECT command, then
  48. AT^H (that special command) ...
